I care about system design, how systems are built and maintained, and the quality they deliver over time. I like to understand problems clearly, communicate precisely, and build solutions that are effective without creating unnecessary complexity. - Sole software engineer for the production division, with no mentor or tech lead — given only high-level goals, independently drove requirements discovery through direct user conversations and led planning; built functional frontend and backend first, then refined the UI with a UI/UX designer's input, while owning backend, database, and testing throughout.
- Leads Nexsus, a workforce training system that replaced spreadsheet-based operator records with centralized training, certification, and staffing data across the production division.
- Cut changeover staffing decisions from 2-4 days of manual mapping to automatic, same-day assignment.
- Set the technical direction for a cross-division digital checklist system under a tight HQ-visit deadline, replacing 40+ daily paper forms per line, and remains technical consultant after handoff.

- Centralized operator training, certification, and staffing data on a Next.js/Spring Boot stack, replacing spreadsheet tracking with a relational MySQL schema via JPA.
- Designed a hierarchy-based reviewer-assignment algorithm keyed to organizational role progression instead of static ID mappings, enabling dynamic evaluator routing.
- Built a changeover staffing recommendation engine that automates post-mapping decisions previously made from memory, cutting a 2-4 day manual process to instant assignment.
- Implemented JWT authentication with Spring Security, backed by Redis-based token revocation so sessions can be killed before natural token expiry.
- Owned the system solo end-to-end — requirements gathering, backend architecture, schema design, and testing — deployed to a divisional server.
